Beyond Oasis sits back from the sand in Cowes, where the days move at the pace of the tide. There is room here to do very little — four quiet bedrooms, a wide deck for long dinners, and nothing in particular on the agenda. Come for the water. Stay for the quiet.

Cowes wakes up slowly. The general store opens, someone's walking a dog along the esplanade, and the bay sits flat and silver until the wind picks up after lunch. Most days start here — coffee in hand, no real plan.
Down the road, little penguins make their nightly walk up the sand at Summerlands, same as they have for longer than anyone can remember. Cape Woolamai's ridgeline is worth the climb for the view alone, and out at The Nobbies the ocean does something louder, wilder, more Bass Strait than bay.
None of it needs booking days in advance. That's rather the point.
